NYCFC Lives On For Another Day / Ep 475 / Blue City Radio

Episode 475:

NYCFC hosted FC Cincinnati in CitiField on Saturday for the second leg of the first round of MLS Playoffs and the Boys In Blue solidly defeated the higher seed opponent.

This week Mike Anderer, J.R. deBart and Mike Allen discuss the game from last week. There is plenty of post game audio as well as a conversation with Justin Haak from training in the midweek.

The NYCFC Exodus Continues… / Ep 426 / Blue City Radio

Episode 426:

There were times when earning four points in a week would be considered a positive for NYCFC. There were times when a back-up rookie striker with two goals and less than 500 minutes would be considered a non-story.

In 2023 as the team sits on 30 points with six games to go and with the only true striker on the team not being 90 minutes fit, neither of those two statements can be considered acceptable by the team or its fanbase.

This week Mike, J.R. DiBart and Mike Allen look back at the amorphous NYCFC roster and the last two home games in Yankee Stadium.

There’s postgame audio from Nick Cushing, Birk Risa, Mounsef Bakrar, Tayvon Gray, Matt Freese, Kevin O’Toole, and Justin Haak.

The Justin Haak Redemption Curve / Ep 419 / Blue City Radio

Episode 419:

It was another week for NYCFC with two consecutive draws. Nick Cushing’s squad was hopeful to build off the momentum of the first road win away in Montreal but a poor clearance by defender, Justin Haak, in the Charlotte game would prove to be costly. NYCFC did earn a point in that match thanks to a late goal by Braian Cufre. It was more late heroics in Columbus as Justin Haak entered the history books being the first home grown player to score in a competitive match. Sadly the intensity of Columbus even down a man would prove to be more pressure than NYCFC could absorb.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen look back at the crazy two games and even touch a little on the USMNT as they continue their Gold Cup run.

True Story: NYCFC Gets a Win / Ep 418 / Blue City Radio

Episode 418:

Everyone knew the moment would come eventually. Everyone knew that NYCFC would not go the rest of the regular season winless, but the streak kept creeping along, through May and then through most of June.

This week Mike Anderer and Mike Allen jump on the microphones to discuss the victory from Stade Saputo against CF Montreal. There’s also audio from Nick Cushing and Justin Haak in the episode. Our resident Justin Haak critic, J.R. deBart was oddly unavailable for this week’s recording. We are sure he’s on scripting some eloquent praise for the NYCFC homegrown player that he will share on an upcoming episode.

10-less In California / Ep 397 / Blue City Radio

Episode 397:

The preseason for NYCFC continues on in California, but the lack of a complete roster is a struggle for Nick Cushing and the team as they prepare for the 2023 season.

This week Mike, J.R. deBart and Mike Allen discuss the latest press conference from the team and their friendly against the LA Galaxy.

In the second segment the guys discuss some of the Premier League stories that might impact NYCFC or the USMNT.

Help, I’ve Lost My Star Players and I Can’t Get Up / Ep 380 / Blue City Radio

Episode 380:

If you were born before 2000 you probably remember this popular television commercial. An elderly woman is home alone and accidentally falls with no one around. She desperately cries out for help but no one can hear her? The audience is left wondering how long she will suffer until help arrives.

The elderly woman is a good representation of NYCFC at the moment. Devastated by long term injuries and the loan departure of Taty Castellanos, the one time point leaders for all of MLS since 2016 captured only three points of a possible 21 since August 1. The reigning champions and former top tier competitors have become mediocre at best, and that’s being kind.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen do their best to break it all down and see if there’s any light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank You, Ronny. Hi, Justin Haak / Ep 368 / Blue City Radio

Episode 368:

For the second time in their short history an NYCFC Head Coach left the team for a job in Europe mid-season. The biggest difference between this departure and that of Patrick Vieira in 2018 was that the news broke much sooner to Deila’s departure. There was no weeks long tug of war between the coach and the media. There was the game in Belson Stadium, the away match in Minnesota and then all of a sudden Ronny was gone.

This week Mike, J.R. and Chris Campbell from the Outfield discuss the news of Nick Cushing being named interim head coach for the rest of the season.

In the second segment the guys welcome NYCFC homegrown midfielder, Justin Haak, to the show to talk about his career at NYCFC.

Johnson Quiets the Wonerwall / Ep 367 / Blue City Radio

Episode 367:

This past week NYCFC had two tough matches, but the team faced the challenges with style and poise and earned 1-0 victories in both matches.

The guys talk about the Open Cup thriller in Belson and then Saturday night league match against Minnesota. Included is audio from Maxi Moralez, Alfredo Morales, Justin Haak and Ronny Deila.

Chatting with Joe Tolleson / Ep 245 / Blue City Radio

Episode 245:

NYCFC got three points on their away trip to Vancouver, but it could prove to be a costly three points as the fulcrum for the team’s early turn around, Heber, left the match in the tenth minute complaining about tightness in his right quadriceps.

However, clinical trials showed that it did not affect cardiac blood flow, instead, increased blood flow towards the penile region. cheapest cialis viagra generika Not long ago, a 50 year-old man, who I’ll call John, came to me with congestive heart failure.
