MetomorphosisFC – Ep 231 – Blue City Radio

Episode 231:

NYCFC under Dome Torrent had gone 30 games with 29 different lineups and while injuries, suspensions and international absences were always factors, Torrent’s inability to settle on a system was most influential.

Earlier this seaon, Torrent found his ideal formation for the squad both at home and on the road as the team went on a seven game unbeaten streak after adapting to a 3-4-3 formation that hinged on the play of the new striker, Heber.

This past week versus Chicago all of that success and consistency went out the window as the team quickly adjusted to a 4-3-3 to adapt to the Fire’s attack. This ultimately forced multiple players out of position and NYCFC was lucky enough to steal a point in Bridgeview.

Mike and J.R. welcome CJ Reo to the show to breakdown this week’s underwhelming draw. They also touch base on the USWNT’s preparations for France and discuss the US U20’s as they compete in Poland in the U20 World Cup.
