Getting To Know the New #9, Will the Real Revolution Please Stand Up, and Vieira On Villa and Friedel / Ep 162 / Blue City Radio

Episode 162:

NYCFC are riding a hot streak into Massachusetts, but they’ve had momentum stolen from them on the frigid turf on Gilette Field in the past.  New England are unbeaten at home in their last nine games. Patrick Vieira wants to end that streak this Saturday, but he might have to do it without his striker, David Villa who is still recovering from injury.

This week Mike’s trip to training brings us a chat with Jo Inge Berget.  In the second segment, Mike and J.R. talk with Jon Huot from the Six States One Pod podcast about New England and their new manager Brad Friedel.

The show wraps up with Patrick Vieira and his weekly chat with the media ahead of this week’s match.

We Love LA, Rev’s Preview and Looking Back at Dropped Points / Ep 131 / Blue City Radio

Episode 131:

I hope the NYCFC team staff bottled some of the water from the hotel the team stayed at during their extended trip to LA, because whatever was in it made Sean Johnson invincible.

Yes, the LA Galaxy have struggled in Stub Hub Center.  Yes, LA only put five of their 21 shots on target. But, those five were quality chances and Johnson came up big in every chance.

Mike and Jon discuss the team’s victory on the west coast and how Patrick Vieira will have to fill the void left by Alex Ring who will miss Sunday’s match for Yellow Card accumulation.

In the second segment Matt Puglise from Six States One Pod joins Mike to discuss the upcoming match as the New England Revolution come to town.
