It started ugly and despite NYCFC fighting back from an early defensive gaff, the 2-1 victory never really got prettier.  In the end, the points are all that matter.  Mike and Jon discuss the game and attempt to find the bright spots in a poor performance.

NYCFC didn’t do it pretty, they needed the help of the AR, but in the end, they got the result, the three points and they remain top of the Eastern Conference with only eight more games left in their season.

Mike and Jon take a look at this wild affair.  There’s a somber but important start, but then analysis on the keys to the game.

In the middle segment, Matt Reed from NBC Sports and Pro Soccer Talk joins the show to breakdown the Eastern Conference and give his perspective on NYCFC.

There’s still more drama left in this season for sure, but as of now, NYCFC still control their destiny.

Patrick Vieira changed the formation for the second match up against the Chicago Fire.  NYCFC kept the Fire from recording a single shot on goal with a great effort from Frederic Brilliant and Jason Hernandez.

Mike and Jon recap that game and discuss the decision by Vieira to bench Shelton and Lopez.

After that they jump in and join Massive Report, the Columbus Crew podcast as we learn more about why the MLS Cup Finalists have yet to record a win in 2016.

We wrap up the episode with a discussion on Nigel De Jong and his rough challenge on Darlington Nagbe.
