Ugly Wins Still Count / Ep 294 / Blue City Radio

Episode 294:

NYCFC closed out the first phase of the MLS Regular season in local markets by hosting FC Cincinnati in Red Bull Arena.

A game that looked locked up by the 60′ quickly turned tense as FC Cincinnati Head Coach, Jaap Stam, made some in game adjustments while Ronny Deila continued his rigid form of under utilizing substitutions.

This week Christian Smith from Husdon River Blue joins the show to give his insights. Together with Mike and Mike Allen the trio discuss the in stadium atmosphere and what NYCFC got right and wrong on Saturday.

NYCFC Are Moving On / Ep 287 / Blue City Radio

Episode 287:

It only took five minutes for NYCFC to take the lead in Sunday night’s game versus Toronto. A lead they would never let go. The high press approach from New York disrupted the typically calm and precise team from Canada and eventually the countless turnovers would be too much for TFC to overcome as the lead eventually grew to 3-0, before a loan goal in the final minutes by former NYCFC striker, Patrick Mullins, allowed the Reds to save face.
