Just Like the Coach Drew It Up / Ep 476 / Blue City Radio

Episode 476:

NYCFC traveled to Cincinnati for game three of the opening round of the MLS Cup Playoffs and kept the number three seed in the east to a nil-nil draw. The game was decided by penalty kicks and Matt Freese proved to be just as important in the moment as he has been all season long.

This week Mike Anderer, J.R. diBart and Mike Allen look back at round one of the playoffs and look ahead at the all-important Hudson River Derby matchup on November 23 in CitiField.

The MLS Cup Playoffs Game One Reaction Episode / Ep 474 / Blue City Radio

Episode 474:

In hindsight maybe the guys from Post90 Podcast and The City Boys have been right all along? To be fair, there was a show called City Post Game Live in 2016-2017 that had a little traction, but I digress.

This week Mike Anderer and Mike Allen turn on the mics during the last 15 minutes of the NYCFC away match in Cincinnati and then discuss their reactions after the final whistle. Included are the post game pressers from Keaton Parks and Nick Cushing as well as some discussion on where Nick Cushing might be blowing his whistle next season.

The Legend of Maxime / Ep 425 / Blue City Radio

Episode 425:

I’m a little confused about what to write. There’s a sense of disbelief about the announcement from today. It’s a sensation we all recognize. That pause when we ask ourselves, “Is this really happening?”

Yes, the longest tenured player for NYCFC has abruptly left the club to return to Corsica. Just shy of his 200th appearance for the club, Maxime Chanot made the difficult decision to go home.

Few can fault his logic, but the criticism is evident for Nick Cushing and David Lee, if Maxime’s decision was influenced by the culture in the locker room.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen get into the rumors that are now official. They also talk about Messi’s trip to NJ and recap the 3-0 loss away in Cincinatti.

Villarreal vs NYCFC, NYCFC Fans vs Players, Cushing Feeling the Pressure / Ep 414 / Blue City Radio

Episode 414:

We have heard the criticism that the episodes need to be tighter, but in a week when NYCFC plays two matches with so many talking points, there is only so much trimming that we can do.

This week Mike, J.R. Debart and Mike Allen talk about the key points from a week when NYCFC only earned a point. They go over the loss to Cincinnati and the draw to New England.

411: Yes, Operator, I’m looking for NYCFC’s Road Offense / Ep 411 / Blue City Radio

Six Goals, But Only Two Points / Ep 371 / Blue City Radio

Episode 371:

Nick Cushing is still waiting for his first win as interim head coach for NYCFC. While most think it will eventually come, the pressure builds on the coach and the players to get back to their winning ways.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen discuss the draws against FC Cincinnati and Atlanta United.

The Dallas Draw and the Cincy Scramble / Ep 336 / Blue City Radio

Episode 336:

NYCFC went into Tuesday’s game thinking that Ricardo Pepi was going to be a focal point of the FC Dallas attack. James Sands did an excellent job containing Pepi through out most of the match. Unfortunately it would be the rest of the Dallas offense that would help the Texas team split the points from Red Bull Arena.

On Saturday for the second time in as many games, the club would concede an fourth minute goal. Luckily for the first time since May, NYCFC would show the resilience necessary to steal three points on the road ending their seven game road winless streak.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen give their thoughts on the two games and look ahead at Derby Week.

577 Days Later / Ep 316 / Blue City Radio

Episode 316:

The NYCFC Supporters finally returned to Yankee Stadium for an NYCFC regular season home match. It was a wild match with some stunning goals, but it was also a match against a weak opponent that could set the team up for failure if they’re not careful about their mindset going into Philadelphia on the weekend.

Mike, J.R. an Mike Allen discuss their experiences, both good and bad, about being back in the Bronx. They also breakdown the game and share some audio from Tayon Gray and Jesus Medina.

Getting to Know FC Cincinnati / Ep 310 / Blue City Radio
