10 Years of NYCFC with Trey Fillmore From Blue Balls Pod / Ep 412 / Blue City Radio

Episode 412:

This is a personal favorite episode for Producer and Host Mike Anderer. It is a favorite because it is an evergreen episode. Yes, there is conversation about the game of the week and some details that will put a virtual timestamp on the episode, but overall this is a broad stroke conversation about NYCFC and the club’s impact on two reporters that have been part of the media landscape since the very beginning.

This week Mike Anderer and J.R. DeBart invite Trey Fillmore from Blue Balls Podcast on as a guest. During the episode the three discuss the recently released stadium renderings, the most current MLS Players Salary data and of course the draw in Orlando, but the most important segment is the dive into the early stages of covering NYCFC. Blue City Radio and Blue Balls Podcast share the unique honor of being the earliest podcasts and dedicated media sources covering NYCFC.

Blue Christmas 2019 / Ep 258 / Blue City Radio

Episode 258:

It’s a Festivus miracle. Last week Mike was joined by Trey Fillmore of Blue Balls, Anthony Merced from Dudes in Blue, Keira Smith from MLS Female, Nick Chavez from NYCFC Nation and John Mueller aka Dummy Run from The Outfield.org and an audience of guests to air their grievances and look ahead to 2020.

Some fun, lots of laughs and interesting conversation about NYCFC, MLS and soccer in the US.

Pirlo’s Final Five Minutes and a Visit From Trey Fillmore / Ep 144 / Blue City Radio

Episode 144:

NYCFC’s season came to end after an elimination victory (yes soccer is a weird sport) versus Columbus.  With the end of their 2017 season, so too ends the career of Andrea Pirlo, a true legend of the game.

Mike and Jon talk about leg 1 of the MLS Conference Semifinals.  Then Trey Fillmore from Blue Balls Pod joins the guys to talk about leg 2.

Responding to Critics / Ep 123 / Blue City Radio

Episode 123:

MLS held it’s annual Rivalry Week Media event in New York City yesterday and they invited some friends from across the river to join the party.  Obviously the focus of the event was Saturday’s Hudson River Derby but with the recent US Open Cup match and both teams playing league games over the weekend, there was a lot to cover.

Jon Sauerschell was not available for the full episode, but he does make two cameo appearances so Mike welcomed Trey Fillmore of Blue Balls Podcast to the show.  The two discuss NYCFC’s most recent games and the upcoming match all while overlooking the concourse of the Grand Hyatt as NBA hopefuls arrive for this week’s NBA Draft.  It was all quite surreal.
