In the second segment the guys share some audio from Brad Sims as he addressed the media last week ahead of the start of the season.

Decision Day 2020 / Ep 302 / Blue City Radio

Episode 302:

NYCFC travelled to the windy city for it’s final regular season game of 2020. The wild first half provided six goals the teams would be deadlocked at halftime. The game was marred by defensive errors so it was fitting that the game winning goal was scored off an errant pass that landed at the feet of Taty Castellanos.

This week Mike, Jon, J.R. and Mike Allen look at NYCFC’s performance and breakdown what concerns might carry over into the post season.

A NEW 10 Emerges / Ep 296 / Blue City Radio

Episode 296:

NYCFC entered last week knowing that they were going to need a new #10 player for the next 4-6 weeks following the injury to Maxi Moralez. After the midweek clash with Toronto the club found themselves looking for a new #9 after the season-ending injury to Heber.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen discuss the team’s up and down week as they would split the two games.

The guys break down the best and worst moments from the 0-1 loss to Toronto and the 4-0 victory over FC Cincinatti.

Taty Rising / Ep 243 / Blue City Radio

Episode 243:

NYCFC played two games since our last episode winning both of them. Taty Castellanos proved to be the fulcrum in both victories scoring a brace versus Cincinnati and the lone goal in the game versus Columbus.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen look back at the two wins versus lower table Eastern Conference opponents.

In the episode you’ll hear post game comments from Anton Tinnerholm, Sean Johnson and Taty Castellanos.

Take A Bow, Castellanos / Ep 232 / Blue City Radio

Episode 232:

We kickoff this week’s episode with the celebration of Liverpool’s Champions League victory. Long time listeners are all too well versed on Jon Sauerschell’s love for the club, so he gets the ball rolling with his account of experiencing those moments from Saturday.

Then Mike, Jon and J.R. breakdown the game versus Columbus from Saturday evening. This week’s show also includes training audio with Keaton Parks and Dome Torrent as the guys talk about the match up for Thursday versus FC Cincinnati and also further ahead to the US Open Cup match the following week,

Three Goals, One Point / Ep 226 / Blue City Radio

Episode 226:

Minnesota United is living large. Their new building, Allianz Field is stunning. The 19,000 plus stadium is pure eye candy. It is a short train ride from the heart of downtown. It sits on the side of an interstate. 96 tap bar, need I say more?

Luckily for NYCFC fans, the team played their best offensive game of the season. Taty Castellanos scored the first for the away team and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi followed it up with a brace, giving NYCFC the much needed point.

Mike and J.R. welcome Chris Jee from The Outfield to break down this game. The guys also listen to post game audio from Dome Torrent, James Sands, Sean Johnson and Alex Ring.

Anything You Can Do…, Shoulder 2 Shoulder / Ep 220 / Blue City Radio

Episode 220:

Sean Johnson had to come up big for NYCFC in the 2019 Home Opener.  The keeper knotted three saves for the Cityzens as DC United would use their quick passing to create chances.  James Sands made his second straight start helping to stifle the attack of Wayne Rooney and Luciano Acosta.

Mike, Jon and J.R. do their best to get to your questions and frustrations after NYCFC continue to defend well, but cannot find the back of the net.

In the second segment Chris and Christian, the duo behind LAFC podcast, Shoulder2Shoulder join the guys on the Gabila’s Knish hotline to preview the Sunday match up in the Bronx.
