Three Goals, One Point / Ep 226 / Blue City Radio

Episode 226:

Minnesota United is living large. Their new building, Allianz Field is stunning. The 19,000 plus stadium is pure eye candy. It is a short train ride from the heart of downtown. It sits on the side of an interstate. 96 tap bar, need I say more?

Luckily for NYCFC fans, the team played their best offensive game of the season. Taty Castellanos scored the first for the away team and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi followed it up with a brace, giving NYCFC the much needed point.

Mike and J.R. welcome Chris Jee from The Outfield to break down this game. The guys also listen to post game audio from Dome Torrent, James Sands, Sean Johnson and Alex Ring.

Baby, It’s Cold Outside / Ep 225 / Blue City Radio

NYCFC head off to Minnesota to help Minnesota United christen their new stadium. While it might not be intentional, there’s no bigger slap in the face to NYCFC after last week’s field fiasco with the Yankee Stadium infield than to have them play the inaugural game at Allianz Field.

This preview episode features audio clips from Anton Tinnerholm, Juan Pablo Torres, Ismael Tajouri-Shradi and Dome Torrent.

Dirt Poor Performance / Ep 224 / Blue City Radio

Episode 224:

In what is quickly becoming the oddest year for NYCFC the club left Yankee Stadium embarassed.  Not only were they unable to score against a team that the previous week had conceded seven goals to Sporting Kansas City, they also held a man advantage for twenty plus minutes, but worse than all was the condition on the pitch.

NYCFC and CFG need to take full advantage of the next two games on the road and figure out what went wrong before the team hosts Chicago and Orlando in late April.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen are joined by NYCFCTactics to discuss the draw and look at solutions that the team can employ to change their direction.

WTF! / Ep 223 / Blue City Radio

Episode 223:

On the bright side NYCFC’s newest player arrived in New York on Friday.  On the negative side, it might not be enough to fix NYCFC’s woes.  It was a game where the team looked devoid of structure and played as individuals.

Mike, Jon, J.R. and Mike Allen look at the game from Friday and because the team played as individuals, they discuss all 13 players and their impact, positive or negative on the outcome.
