Exit Villa, Enter Berhalter (and Sims) / Ep 211 / Blue City Radio

Episode 211:

It has been a whirlwind of a week as the MLS season comes to a close Saturday evening with MLS Cup.  In the midst of all of that anticipation and excitement NYCFC released it’s 2019 Roster updates and in a very heartfelt ceremony said goodbye to the Captain.

At the same time, the buzz around US Soccer grew as Gregg Berhalter was officially announced and introduced to the media and fans in New York City.

This week’s episode features guest, Fernando Garza (@RunAsRoot).  Fernando was lucky enough to be one of the few NYCFC supporters invited to attend the Villa farewell event.  Mike and J.R. hear Fernando’s recap of the evening and then the guys get into some talk about the new USMNT coach, the new NYCFC CEO, Brad Sims, and the list of players whose 2019 options were not renewed.
