#Forever7 / Ep 210 / Blue City Radio

Episode 210:

If you’ve listened to the show in the past you already know the levelof admiration the hosts heap upon David Villa.  That praise is reflected in this week’s episode as Mike and J.R. welcome Anthony Merced from Dudes In Blue on the show to discuss the original Designated Player for NYCFC, David Villa.

The guys also take a brief look into the impact this could have on the club moving forward and lastly, they give their thoughts on which NYCFC players will be with the team in 2019.

Disasters For Everyone / Ep 209 / Blue City Radio

Epsiode 209:

Wow, on the positive side, it’s difficult to recall a game with as much energy as the Second Leg match in Atlanta.  But also Wow, it’s difficult to recall a game that was as disappointing to experience.

NYCFC went down to Georgia looking make a deal and they came up empty-handed.  The team was forced into errors and Atlanta United capitalized on every one of them earning a 3-1 victory and taking the series 4-1 on the aggregate.

This week Mike and J.R. look back at the game and it’s biggest moments.  In the second segment, former NYCFC defender and current radio co-host, Chris Wingert, joins the show to share his opinion on NYCFC’s current form.

We also have the post game comments from Dome Torrent and Alex Ring.

Under Pressure / Ep 208 / Blue City Radio

Episode 208:

Yes, the title of the episode is a tribute to Freddy Mercury and Queen.  With the recent release Bohemian Rhapsody it seemed very fitting.  NYCFC find themselves once again, under pressure after a poor Leg 1 match in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

This week Mike, J.R. and Mike Allen look back the 1-0 loss at the hands of Atlanta United, and they mean literally “at the hands” as this was a hard fought physical match.  The locker room resembled more of an emergency room with players receiving treatment for hands, ankles and cuts and bruises.

The show also includes post game audio from Ronald Matarrita, Jo Inge Berget and some audio from last week’s training session from Dome Torrent.  Lastly, the show includes a conversation on what Mike thinks is a sign that at least one of NYCFC’s stars might not be back.

Thanks to Trey Fillmore from Blue Balls for the Alex Ring audio that kicks off the show.

Dome Bests Vieira As NYCFC Eliminate the Union / Ep 207 / Blue City Radio

Episode 207:

Credit to Mike Coniaris (a name easier to spell than pronounce) for the title, but the tongue in cheek joke is appropriate.  NYCFC for the first time in club history has won a playoff round.  So in essence, Torrent accomplished something that Vieira failed to do in his two post-season attempts.

This week Mike, J. R. and Nick Chavez break down the game from Halloween night.  They also included the post game comments from Alex Ring, Maxime Chanot, Anton Tinnerholm and Sean Johnson.

And lastly, the guys answer your comments and questions.
