Stoppage Time Thriller and Susannah Collins / Ep 132 / Blue City Radio

Episode 132:

A crazy game in the Bronx on Sunday as NYCFC used just about every minute of the 5 added in stoppage time to pull out a victory against the struggling New England Revolution.

A game that was forgettable through the first half became one of lore as David Villa and Jonathon Lewis delivered the equalizer and game winner in a final 45 full of drama.

Mike and Jon look at the game and try to understand where NYCFC was struggling to create.

We Love LA, Rev’s Preview and Looking Back at Dropped Points / Ep 131 / Blue City Radio

Episode 131:

I hope the NYCFC team staff bottled some of the water from the hotel the team stayed at during their extended trip to LA, because whatever was in it made Sean Johnson invincible.

Yes, the LA Galaxy have struggled in Stub Hub Center.  Yes, LA only put five of their 21 shots on target. But, those five were quality chances and Johnson came up big in every chance.

Mike and Jon discuss the team’s victory on the west coast and how Patrick Vieira will have to fill the void left by Alex Ring who will miss Sunday’s match for Yellow Card accumulation.

In the second segment Matt Puglise from Six States One Pod joins Mike to discuss the upcoming match as the New England Revolution come to town.

A Guaje-licious Supernovilla HRB and The LA Galaxy Insider / Ep 130 / Blue City Radio

Episode 130:

Real words can no longer describe what we are privileged to witness week in and week out by David Villa, so Jon and Mike have resorted to having listeners make up new ones.  This week was the pinnacle.  In a game against the Red Bulls, a team that Villa has struggled to score against, he dominated, scoring three goals and blocking a close range chance by opposing striker Bradley Wright-Phillips.  Mike and Jon spend the entire first segment discussing Villa and his importance to NYCFC.

In the second segment Adam Serrano, the LA Galaxy Insider, joins the show to discuss another important matchup for the Blue Birds of New York.

The last segment continues the conversation about Sunday’s 3-2 victory, the most exciting of the Hudson River Derby’s to date.

Inconsistent All the Time, Joe Goldstein and NYCFC visits Adidas NYC / Ep 129 / Blue City Radio

Episode 129:

Mike and Jon watched the Toronto game together on Sunday and then broadcast an episode of City Post Game Live, so needless to say, they were pretty much over the 4-0 loss to the league leaders, TFC.

Luckily, Mike had the fortune to attend the NYCFC Team Signing event in Manhattan earlier in the week.  The guys listen to the interviews captured there and discuss those chats with the players.

In the second segment, Joe Goldstein from Seeing Red and a bunch of other outlets joins the show to discuss this week’s game, the Hudson River Derby.
